Cloudburst Research

Dissolved. Cloudburst Research was a UBC spin-out founded in 2009 that created the Autostitch panoramic photo stitching technology — one of the foundational computer-vision algorithms behind modern panoramic photography. The company was acquired by Alphabet (Google) in May 2015 and ceased to operate as an independent entity. Its technology was subsequently integrated into Google's photography products.
