What We're Measuring

During discussions in the BC+AI Model of AI Consciousness (MAC) group, we discovered surprising diversity in how people experience consciousness. Some participants have aphantasia (no mental imagery), while others have hyperphantasia (photographic mental imagery). Some think with constant inner speech, others wordlessly. These aren't deficits or abilities—they're natural variations in subjective experience.
